MY STORY
MY STORY
Hello! My name is Abigail Hope Scott!
I have had a pretty big journey so let me share it with you!
I was born in Dallas, Texas, with sass, red hair, and oh yeah, a tiny right leg. I was born with CFD (one of my legs was much shorter than the other). When I was a baby my family knew I would need many surgeries and treatments. My parents made the sacrifice to move to Jupiter, Florida, for my medical treatments. I had my first surgery at two and that was the beginning of many surgeries.
I had a variety of lengthening surgeries and various treatments during my childhood. My treatments have been a big part of my life but I have always known I am more than my disability. In Florida I met my best friends, found my love for sports, discovered my passion for speaking up, and most importantly began my huge love for animals. After my biggest surgeries were finished we moved to Oklahoma where I became even more passionate about what I loved.
I began competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, FFA, and most importantly I tried my first pageant. I quickly fell in love with pageants! Where else do you learn interview skills, start your own organization, give speeches about your passions, meet life long friends, and learn confidence all while wearing heels and sparkly dresses?
Pageants helped me start Advocate With Hope (AWH) and I am so grateful I get to share my story and have a community. Now I am in Frisco, Texas where I am still my sassy and busy self! I am still defying many odds! I still run AWH with passion! I am a district FFA officer with a team of close friends. I also have a big future ahead of me as a veterinarian. And I am your Jr. Miss Southern States Princess of America! I adore my life and because of my wonderful family and friends I know my disability is a big part of me but it is not who I am.
